Beloved Radio One DJ Andy Kershaw, 66, has revealed that he has cancer, which has left him unable to walk. The iconic DJ and Live Aid presenter has been diagnosed with tumors in his spine, discovered last August. Despite his health struggles, Kershaw remains in good spirits and is determined to keep going. He jokes, 'I am feeling very positive and planning another podcast.' Kershaw's career began at Radio Aire in Leeds, where he formed a partnership with veteran broadcaster Martin Kelner. He also gave TV presenter Carol Vorderman her first job. Kershaw was hired by Radio 1 as a successor to legendary DJ John Peel. He has two children, Sonny and Dolly, from his relationship with restaurateur Juliette Banner. Kershaw and Juliette moved to the Isle of Man in 2006, but their relationship later broke down. In 2011, he released his autobiography, 'No Off Switch,' detailing his career and personal struggles.
